Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences and actions over time, or to recognise you across sessions. Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting (first-party) or by third-party services embedded in that website.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the core functionality of Vigilare and cannot be disabled. They include a session cookie that keeps you authenticated while you use the application, and a CSRF token cookie that protects form submissions against cross-site request forgery attacks. Without these cookies, Vigilare cannot function.

Analytics cookies

With your consent, we set a first-party analytics cookie to measure aggregate usage patterns — for example, which features are used most frequently and where users encounter friction. This data is anonymised and never tied to individual identities. We do not use third-party analytics vendors that track you across other websites.

Preference cookies

If you customise settings such as your UI theme or notification preferences, a preference cookie stores those choices so you do not have to repeat them on each visit. These cookies are optional and are only set after you make a change.

vigilare_session

Type: Strictly necessary. Duration: Session (deleted when you close your browser). Purpose: Maintains your authenticated session with the Vigilare API.

vigilare_csrf

Type: Strictly necessary. Duration: Session. Purpose: CSRF protection token validated on state-changing requests.

vigilare_analytics

Type: Analytics (consent required). Duration: 12 months. Purpose: Counts page views and feature interactions in aggregate to guide product decisions.

vigilare_prefs

Type: Preferences (optional). Duration: 12 months. Purpose: Stores UI preferences such as theme and sidebar state.

We do not embed advertising networks, social-media trackers, or third-party analytics scripts that set their own cookies on your device. The only third-party service that may set a cookie in your browser is Stripe, if you navigate to a payment or billing page. Stripe's use of cookies is governed by Stripe's own privacy and cookie policy.

Cookie consent banner

When you first visit vigilare.cloud, a consent banner lets you accept or decline optional (analytics and preference) cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the site footer.

Browser settings

All modern browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent Vigilare from working correctly. Blocking optional cookies simply means those features (analytics, stored preferences) will be inactive.

Do Not Track

We respect the Do Not Track (DNT) browser signal. If your browser sends a DNT:1 header we will not set any optional cookies, regardless of any prior consent you gave.

We may update this policy when we add or remove cookies. Material changes will be announced by updating the effective date below and, where appropriate, by re-prompting consent via the cookie banner.
